Everything but Sewing

You all know how that goes. We've got our good intentions, but then things like grocery shopping, playing 'Scrabble' with the hubs/daughter on the iPad/iPhone, laundry, housecleaning.....

I did pick up some supplies for next weekend's workshop with Elly Sienkiewicz...looking forward to that.

The orchid in the studio has started to flower and I'm sure it would appreciate some company tomorrow, so as soon as the house is cleaned I'll be back at work. Only a couple more days left to pull an OPAM finish off, so I've got the motivation.

Speaking of couple of days left....only a couple days left this month to comment to win the feedsack needle book. Leave me a comment and tell me what you're working on tomorrow.

And if you went to the mid-Atlantic quilt show down in Hampton this weekend, I'd love to hear about it.

  1. Beautiful flower.....scrabble with family sounds fun.

  2. The orchid is beautiful. I love the color.

  3. THe orchid is beautiful, I'm waiting on my amaryllis to bloom, but in the mean time my Christmas Cactus is blooming like a fool!! I NEED to be working on a couple of customer quilts!! Need to move my rear and get in gear, but the blogs are so tempting to check out!!

  4. Well, I have 2 blocks to finish up for the latest QOV quilt I am involved in; next week 4 of us friends are having a mini retreat at Pigeon Forge and I have one more item to finish as a little giftee for each one of them. Then on to 2 blocks cut and ready to sew for a couple of the online BOMs I have gotten myself involved... and then there is........

  5. Reply to Bertie: Well, looks like your month is cut out for you! Pigeon Forge sounds like fun. I need to win the lottery so I can live a life of quilting/applique leisure. Speaking of online BOM's....the new Fiesta block posts tomorrow and I haven't even started on February's (nor have I finished stitching down January's). I wonder if I might develop a mysterious illness right about lunch time today :)

  6. I need to finish some funh stitched bags. The I have a fun little bag to make with X-Stitch. Pretty new orchid, speaking of I need to put some ice cubes on them mine, I've been told they will bloom again, I hope so.

I appreciate and look forward to your comments. Thanks for reading. Happy quilting!
