It's almost lunchtime, so I hope your sewing machines, irons, GO!s, rotary cutters, are seeing some action today and you're enjoying an uninhibited day of fabric play.
I'm on my way to a demo at Needles and Pins, lunch in Shab Row and then I'll be back to begin work on a super fun project I picked up at the show yesterday. I'll tell you all about it later, and show you the yummy fabrics I picked up (including French and Japenese fabs). And we'll work together on my new project over the next couple of days....it includes paint, which is something totally new for me.
I wanted to fire off another post to give you an extra chance to comment and enter my National Quilting Day Giveaway.
Charm square goodness awaits you. The entry instructions are in the previous blog entry if you need refreshing. You've got until midnight tonight to enter to win.
Enjoy your day!

Can't wait to see what you have to show us..... Haven't sewn a stitch yet!
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to see those fabrics, especially the Japanese ones. Well, here in England the sun is going down on IQD so I can report my progress. Hmm, the sun was a bit of a problem, I was tempted into the garden to plant some summer flowering bulbs and some seeds, a different sort of sowing eh? But I did sew. I made fabric cards for a swap and I am currently sitting surrounded by NZ fabric with a list of projects so I'm all organised and ready to go. First off is a cloth book for my grandson with Kiwi counting so I'll get that cut tonight. Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for the chance(s) to win yummy fabric.
ReplyDeleteGOOD DAY TO YOU!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS FOR SHARING!

Just checking in....I've finished one quilt and pieced some batting for the one I still need to work on...hope your day is a great one!
ReplyDeleteFeeling good -- finished not one but 3 of the One Star blocks! Now, if my PC would only cooperate so can upload photos from camera. Happy NQD!
ReplyDeleteHaven't sewn a stitch in days:( Hopefully things get back to normal so I can resume.....I have a whole quilt cut out for our new granddaughter and not a minute to stitch!
ReplyDeleteI'm still working on my quilt - appliqueing the dinosaurs down. I will be working it on it all week.
ReplyDeleteI sewed a few strips for the challenge quilt until I got frustrated by how SLOWLY the Featherweight was sewing after her belt replacement. Blogged about your giveaway, and another buddy's giveaway. Dragged kids around to art class, played at the park, dug in the garden, grilled out fat juicy steaks. All in all, a good day! I'm off to dig out my UFO after watching a bit more basketball.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having fun. Well, I finished repairing a bag, but I did get things put away in the sewing studio. And though I wanted to start another little bag project it didn't happen today.
ReplyDeleteThe weather was so nice that I didn't do any sewing! I planted seeds instead!
